As the summer period comes to a close this is the time when most people will look to reorganise their finances after a summer where they may have over spent. One area which has proven very popular is the credit card market and 0% balance transfer offers. While currently there are 40 such offers on the table, ranging from just a few months to 17 months, some are concerned as to how long these offers will remain open.
The problem with zero percent transfers is the fact that the card provider in question may not be as competitive on future spending. If all you are looking to do is transfer your balance and take advantage of the zero percent rate then there are major attractions, but if you are likely to continue spending you need to consider all sides of the argument.
Some are a little surprised to see so many zero percent transfer offers still open, at a time when the cost of finance is edging higher and higher. As ever, it will depend upon your personal circumstances as to whether such a transfer is sensible and advice should be sought before entering into such transactions. |
